Andrew Stynes

Andrew Joseph Stynes passed away on March 14^th, 2023, at the age of 92. Joe was born January 20^th, 1931, in New York City to Joseph and Bridget Stynes. Married to Neatha Stynes on May 17^th 1961, a beautiful princess who he was infatuated with from the day they met.

Survived by his son Ryan Stynes, daughter in-law Melissa and grandson Roland. Laverne and Stephen Kilborn. Scott Davis, Kim and Will Marcucci. Brothers Desmond, Michael and Rory, sisters Annette, Lynn and Kathleen along with nieces and nephews.

A Korean War veteran. Played basketball for Boise State and U of Cal (Fresno). Received a Master of Science from the University of Oregon. Continued educating as a professor of Primatology and Director of Biobehavioral Studies and University of Colorado.

Joe was an athlete, scientist, mountaineer, star of stage and screen. Had perfect hair, an explosive smile. Was fearless, compassionate, a hero. If Joe was there everything was cool. Made sure you were wearing your seat belt, closed the front door and did not touch his feet.
