Andres J. Chavez 27, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away March 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his father Cruz G. Chavez, II; great-grandparents Manuel & Rafaelita Gurule, George & Manuelita Chavez, Elizardo & Aneda Lopez, and Hernando Jaramillo; uncle Billy Trujillo.
Andres was a very kind and loving man. He loved and adored his family dearly. He proudly served his country in the National Guard and was an avid sports fanatic. He especially liked his Dallas Cowboys. Andres will be greatly missed by his entire family and friends.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather Valerie & John Trujillo; siblings Cruz M. Chavez, III (Suzie), Marcus Chavez (Audrea), Isaiah Chavez, Jonnea Trujillo, Alexis Chavez, Leyah Chavez and Ariana Medina; nieces Marikah Chavez, Sienna Chavez, Gianna Chavez, and nephew Jacob Chavez; grandparents Cruz & Elma Chavez, Larry & Doris Lopez; great-grandmother Mercedes Jaramillo; step grandparents John & Evelyn Trujillo; stepmother Renee Yepez; uncles Hernando Chavez (Jacquelyn), Darrell Lopez (Charlene), Jonathan Lopez (Rosa), aunts Melanie Lopez (Andrew), Frances Manzanares (Matt), Carmella Alvarez (Michael) and Luisita Trujillo; god parents Vince Jaramillo & Sandra Bowles; special friend who was like a brother Miguel Padilla; and many other special loving cousins, relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Wednesday March 23, 2022, at 6pm in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday March 24, 2022, at 10am at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Los Cordovas Cemetery.
