Anastasia “Stacey” Romo age 38, a resident of El Prado, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2025. Stacey went into the arms of Jesus, comforted in His unconditional love. “He will shelter you with his pinions, and under his wings you may take refuge, his faithfulness is a protecting shield. You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day.” Psalm 91:4-5
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Eugene & Alice Romero; paternal grandparents Julian Romo, Sr. & Andrea Romo; and her aunt Veronica Romo.
Stacey is survived by her parents Julian Romo; and Audrey Silva (Mike “Bardy”); siblings Paul Romo (Erin), Antonio Silva, Monroe Romero (Lydia), Miguel Silva, Victoria Silva and Veronica Silva; godparents Victoria & Danny Martinez; cousin Natalie Evans (John) and their children, Jade & J.C.; aunts and uncles Yvonne Romero, Jake Romero (Lori), Jeff Romero, Dominic Romero (Tamara) and Karen Oakeley (Russell); Shuniqua Chavez-Gurule who Stacey helped raise; niece Adalyn Grace Romo and nephews Hyrum Riggs Romo, Brigham Gabriel Romo and James Ezra Romero; close cousins, Noah Romero, Zack Romero, Amberlee Cisneros (Marshall), Justin Quintana (Megan), Wyatt Oakeley, Rianna Oakeley, Dalton Oakeley (Alicia), Jeffrey Ortega, and many family and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 6:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church, with burial to follow at the Dolores Cemetery.
