Abel Virgil Gomez

A person who we have all come to love and cherish for many years.

Abel Virgilio Gomez was a caring man, with a heart of gold, who was always helping his family & friends, passed away on March 9, 2022.  He was born to Eva & Estevan Gomez in Cerro, NM on July 27, 1941.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eva & Estevan Gomez, his sons Abel Jr. & Greg Gomez, and grandson Leo Ortiz.

Abel is survived by his wife, Joan Gomez, his daughters, Cindy & Naomi Gomez, grandchildren, Vanessa Ortiz, Gerald Gomez, Letisha Gomez, Alyssa Gomez, Jaclyn Gallegos & Danielle Gallegos, great-grandchildren Aundrea Ortiz & Leo Ortiz Jr. and many other relatives & friends.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:00am at Living Word Ministries in Questa, burial will follow at the Protestant Cemetery in Cerro.
