Margie Sandoval, age 66, a lifelong resident of Rio Lucio, NM went to be with our Lord on March 6, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
Margie was dedicated to anything she applied herself to in life. She was a hard worker, always working more than one job to provide for her three children. She always focused on caring for others, while never thinking of herself. When she was not working, you would find her listening to New Mexico Spanish music, making tortillas and cooking for her family. She had many fur babies in her life and loved them.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Rosa Sandoval, brother Dan Sandoval and sister Debra Lopez, daughter Faith Dominguez and son-in-law Rick Dominguez.
She is survived by her grandsons whom she raised as her own children, Rick Corey and Jonathan Dominguez (Mariah), daughter Iris Sandoval, son Matthew Sandoval (Melissa), siblings David Sandoval (Tina), Arturo Sandoval, Glenda Lovato (Salomon) and Louella Vigil (Michael), brother-in-law Julian Lopez and sister-in-law Marcella Sandoval; grandchildren, Matthew Sandoval Jr., Jeffery Sandoval (Mariah), Ayanna Reid, Annika Reid, great granddaughter Gianna Sandoval and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She had a special fondness for nieces Amy Sandoval, Ruby Cisneros and April Lopez.
Private family Memorial Service will be held.
Serving as pallbearers are Rick Corey and Jonathan Dominguez. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Sandoval Jr, Jeffery Sandoval, Ayanna Reid, Annika Reid and Gianna Sandoval.
A special thank you to Mountain Home Healthcare Hospice nurses Mardee and Lina, home health aide Teresa and spiritual counselor Rose, along with all family members who helped care for her.
Mom, you were heartbroken and devastated when Faith passed away. We all witnessed the sadness and pain that you endured. You are now reunited with your daughter for eternity. Rest in peace mamá.
“COME WITH ME”
By Rhonda Braswell
The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come with me.”
With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.
It’s lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren’t the same
Since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
“Cheer up and carry on.”
Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
“Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping,
We’ll meet again someday.”
